Dr Philip Williams (President) MEc PhD

Elected as president of the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 2007, Dr Williams was vice president from 2004 to 2006 and has been a member of the Board since 2002. Dr Williams is also a member of the Finance Committee.
A former Professor of Law and Economics at Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, Dr Williams now holds the position of Professional Fellow at The University of Melbourne. Dr Williams is a member of the Board of Editors of the Australian Economic Review and Journal of Business Law Education and a member of the Trade Practices Committee of the Law Council of Australia.
Ms Janet Latchford (Deputy President) BComm

Elected as vice president of the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 2007, Ms Latchford was appointed to the board in 2005 and is also a member of the Finance Committee and the Patient Care Council. Ms Latchford has extensive experience in finance, and held the position of Senior Finance Executive at CUB Fosters up until 2002.
Throughout her career Ms Latchford has held the position of President of the Corporate Taxation Association, has been a member of the CPA taxation committee and has been involved with the Albert Park College for the Ardoch Education Foundation.

Peter Brooks is Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at The University of Queensland. He has held previous posts as Professor of Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney (University of New South Wales) and was the Foundation Professor of Rheumatology at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He completed his medical training at Monash University in Melbourne and then studied rheumatology under Professor Watson Buchanan in Glasgow.
Professor Brooks has published widely in the area of treatment and outcomes in arthritis and also has an interest in psychological aspects of rheumatology. Professor Brooks continues to serve on a number of editorial boards of international rheumatology journals and is involved with OMERACT, ILAR and the Bone and Joint Decade.
Mr Anthony Browne BA LLB (Hons)

Mr Browne was appointed to the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 1999 and is also a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee. Mr Browne began his career at legal firm Allens Arthur Robinsons in 1961 and became partner in 1968. He has extensive experience in commercial law and has focused on natural resources and infrastructure projects and companies.
Throughout his career Mr Browne has been the director of Melbourne Water Corporation, a founding member of the Law Council Australia's Business Law Section, a member of the Commercial Law and Stamp Duties committees of the Law Institute of Victoria; and a consultant to the Victorian Law Reform Advisory Council and Department of Justice.
Dr Ron Dick MBBS FRACP

Appointed to the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 2002, Dr Dick is also a member of the Patient Care Council and has been the Medical Director of Cardiology at Epworth Hospital since 1995. Dr Dick obtained his undergraduate qualification at Monash University in 1979.
Postgraduate Physicians study followed, with his formal cardiology training beginning at Prince Henry's Hospital, followed by two years of senior registrar at the Royal Perth Hospital in Western Australia. A subsequent interventional Fellowship was achieved at the University of Michigan Medical Centre, Ann Arbour, United States and Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 1986. Dr Dick commenced private practice at Epworth Hospital in 1990.
Mr Rod Fitzroy

In 1973 Rod Fitzroy founded FITZROYS which today has a multi disciplinary property agency based in Collins Street employing over 60 people. In addition, Mr Fitzroy has Directorships in agri-businesses primarily in the almond industry. A Member of the VRC Committee since 1993, Mr Fitzroy was elected Vice Chairman in November 1998 and Chairman of the Club in July 2003.
Mr Fitzroy is married to Paige and has three daughters and a son. Away from racing, he enjoys golf at the two courses of which he is a Member – Yarra Yarra and the National and enjoys travel and the cultural and culinary diversity that Melbourne has to offer.
Mr Peter Hay LLB

Peter Hay is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Lazard in Australia. Previously Peter was National Chief Executive Officer of Freehills from 2000, and before that was Chairman of the Melbourne partnership from 1994. Under Mr Hay’s leadership, Freehills became nationally integrated and established a clear market leadership position in Australian legal services.
Before his CEO role at Freehills Mr Hay practised in company law and had particular expertise in public company takeovers. Peter spent much of the period 1993-1999 advising governments and government-owned enterprises on industry reform and preparing for and implementing energy sector privatisations.
Mr Hay is a director of Alumina Limited, Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd, GUD Holdings Ltd, Landcare Australia Limited, Myer Holdings Ltd and NBN Co Ltd and has held a number of other directorships in the corporate and not-for-profit sector.
Mr Alan Kinkade

Mr Kinkade was appointed by the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 2007.Mr Kinkade is a member of the Finance Committee, Audit and Compliance Committee, Patient Care Council and the Human Research & Ethics Committee.
Mr Kinkade has extensive senior management experience in the health sector. Throughout his career, Mr Kinkade has served on many industry bodies and is currently a Board Member on the Australian Private Hospitals Association.
Mrs Yolande Klempfner AO LLB

Appointed to the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 1999, Mrs Klempfner is also a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee.
Throughout her career Mrs Klempfner has been an advisor to the Victorian Government of Women's Affairs and an Executive of the Anti-Cancer Council, she has also been a member of the Anti-Discrimination List of VCAT, the RMIT Foundation, the Council of Multicultural Affairs, Lovell Committee and the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Trust for Young Australians.
Ms Judy Leitch, BSc (Hons) MPsych, MBA, MAICD, AFAIM

Ms Leitch was CEO of Wesley Mission Melbourne for five years before joining the State Coroner’s Office as CEO in May 2008. Ms Leitch has extensive experience in the delivery and management of human services. Before moving into management she worked as a clinical psychologist and family therapist, mostly with children, adolescents and their families, in both hospital and community settings.
Her previous management roles include Regional Manger of Child, Adolescent and Family Psychiatry Services for the then Department of Health; Director of Services for Relationships Australia (Vic); and Director of Human Services for the Glen Eira City Council.
Rev Prof Norman Young BA (Hons) BD (Hons) PhD

Appointed to the Epworth HealthCare Board of Management in 1996 Rev Prof Young is also a member of the Research and Ethics Committee.
Rev Prof Young is a Professor of Theology, a trustee of F.J Cato Charitable Trust, Honorary Secretary of the Australian and New Zealand Association Theological School, Fellow of Queens College and the Melbourne College of Divinity and has been heavily involved in Wesley Central Mission.

Mr Damian Armour

Executive Director, Epworth Freemasons
Mr Armour joined Epworth Healthcare in June 2007 as the Executive Director Freemasons Hospital after almost 10 years at Barwon Health. He has a management background having worked with Arthur Andersen and KPMG in management consulting roles prior to joining Barwon Health in 1998.
At Barwon Health Mr Armour was the General Manager Surgical Services where he was responsible for Intensive Care, Operating Services, Outpatients, Anaesthetics and the various surgical specialities including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Oral Faciomaxilary Surgery, ENT, Paediatric Surgery, Urology and Cardio Thoracic Surgery. Mr Armour is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors.
Mr Vincent Borg

Executive Director, Epworth Eastern
Vincent Borg was appointed as the Executive Director at Epworth Eastern in November 2007, having been employed at the Richmond campus since 2002. Mr. Borg has been engaged in the private health sector since February 1979 initially with St. Vincent's Private Hospital (Melbourne).
He has been worked in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, as well as the acute and psychiatric services. Previous General Manager roles have been at North West Private Hospital in Burnie and Victoria House Private Hospital through to its transition to Victoria Clinic.
Ms Liz Camilleri

Ms Camilleri joined Epworth HealthCare in 1990 in Finance and Payroll. From 2002 to 2004 she held the position of Hospitality Services Manager Epworth Richmond and saw the successful return to in-house provision of services previously outsourced to Spotless.
Ms Camilleri was an inaugural employee of Epworth Eastern where she was Business Manager from 2004 to 2009 and was fundamental in establishing the 223 bed priavate hospital. She was appointed as Executive Director, Finance in December 2008.
Ms Camilleri is Treasurer of the Board of the Whitehorse Business Group.
Dr Peter J Dohrmann

Appointed Executive Medical Director of Epworth Hospital in 2002, Dr Dohrmann is also a member of the Group Medical Advisory Council and the Patient Care Council. Dr Dohrmann studied medicine at Monash University, graduating in 1977. He trained in neurosurgery at the Alfred Hospital. Overseas neurosurgery training included a 12 month term in 1984 at the University of Texas, specialising in trauma and cerebrovascular neurosurgery. In 1985 he worked in London as a neurosurgery registrar at The London Hospital and at The Hospital for Sick Children at Great Ormond Street.
From 1986 until 2010, Mr Dohrmann was in private practice in neurosurgery at Epworth, and has held senior appointments at a number of Melbourne's teaching hospitals, including the Alfred Hospital and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. After several years as half-time Executive Medical Director, Dr Dohrmann became full-time in July 2010.
Dr Dohrmann leads Epworth’s teaching hospital initiatives and is responsible for the coordination of clinical governance activities at Epworth.
Mr Chris England

Executive Director, Human Resources
Mr England joined Epworth HealthCare as executive director of Human Resources in September 2008. Chris has had an extensive career in health administration and human resource management in both the UK and Australia.
His roles in Australia have involved leading the Human Resources functions at The Austin Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Bayside Health and Peninsula Health and include site management responsibilities for Caulfield Hospital and Rosebud Hospital.
Mr England is a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute, and is currently on the Board of the Mayfield Centre Board of Studies. He has previously sat on the Board of the Victorian Hospitals Industrial Association, the Australian College of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, the Eltham Community Health Centre and the Community Services & Health Industry Training Board.
Mrs Bronwyn Mace

Executive Director, Rehabilitation Services
Mrs Mace has been employed and contributed to the field of rehabilitation for over 30 years. Mrs Mace began her career at Austin Hospital within the Victorian Spinal Cord Injuries Service and commenced employment at Epworth HealthCare in 2001. She has held a variety of positions in both clinical and managerial capacities all related to the specialty of rehabilitation.
Mrs Mace serves as Victorian representative on the Consultative Committee on Private Rehabilitation and APHA National Private Rehabilitation Group.
Mr Stephen May

Executive Director, Epworth Medical Foundation
Stephen May joined Epworth in August 2008 to lead the fundraising arm of the oprganisation, the Epwoth Medical Foundation. He has a diverse and extensive career across the not for profit and hospitality sectors in marketing, business development and fundraising.
Stephen has held senior marketing and fundraising roles with major disability charity Scope, as well as with Alzheimer's Australia and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Prior to moving into the Not for profit sector Stephen held senior positions in the hospitality sector, included owning and operating one of Melbourne's best love food establishments.
Mr James Piplios
Executive Director, Procurement and Facilities
James Piplios was appointed Executive Director of Procurement and Facilities in 2008. Mr Piplios has extensive commercial experience within the health industry. His career has also seen him work in the oil and gas, aviation and power generation industries.
Prior to Joining Epworth Mr Piplios held key roles including Director of Sales and Marketing and Business Development and Director of Operations for a health industry product supplier.
Mrs Deborah Stephenson

Mrs Stephenson joined Epworth HealthCare as Executive Director Health Contracts in December 2008.
She has worked in public and private hospitals for most of her career commencing as a dietitian and then moving into finance and health fund negotiating. Prior to joining Epworth HealthCare Mrs Stephenson worked for a couple of years with a major health fund in a contract management role.
Ms Susan Wardle

Susan Wardle was appointed Executive Director of Marketing and Business Development in 2007. She has a broad career across the not-for-profit and commercial sectors in strategic planning, marketing and fundraising.
Prior to joining Epworth HealthCare Ms Wardle was Director of St. Vincent's Foundation incorporating the Foundation and Marketing and Communication.
Ms Eileen Hannagan

Ms Hannagan joined Epworth HealthCare in 2009. She joined Epworth with a strong career history in healthcare management across the private, public and not-for-profit hospital sectors. For the past 7 years she has been the Director of Clinical Operations/Chief Operating Officer for St Vincents and Mercy Private in Melbourne.
Ms Maureen Willson

She has held a number of senior appointments including DHS Clinical Risk Manager, Manager Victorian Quality Council, Manager of the DHS Anaesthetic and Surgical Consultative Councils and state Clinical Risk Manager for the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority
