Epworth HealthCare conducts a very active education program for General Practitioners, including:
- Continued Professional Development (CPD) training for GPs
- During each year, special education sessions are arranged including a Headache and Migraine seminar, a 2-week Palliative Care course and a 6-week comprehensive Cardiology cours
In addition to the education activities, Epworth HealthCare assists General Practitioners by providing:
- A phone facilitation line to allow easy access to inpatient information for general practitioners phone 03 9426 8504
- A referral phone facilitation line to assist GPs to make early appointments with specialists phone 03 9426 8504
The GP facilitation office is also looking at the ways in which Epworth communicates with General Practitioners when their patients are admitted to the hospital.
